For almost 50 years, Monks Sports & Social Club has been the proud home to many of Woolston’s local sport teams. Our grounds accommodate for Football, Rugby, Bowls and Snooker.

The facilities we provide and carefully maintain ensure that local sports teams are able to practice, grow and ultimately prosper! Supporting local teams and encouraging local people, both young and old, to be active and participating members of the community is something we hold in the highest regard.

FOOTBALL

Football is a fun and energetic team sport, to be enjoyed by all ages. Here at Monk Sports and Social Club we are proud to support our local football community, hosting Monk JFC, our junior team, as well as Bruche FC and Woolston Rovers FC, both open to all ages.

RUGBY

Rugby, the quintessentially British sport, is enjoyed here at Monks Sports and Social Club by all ages. We are proud to host the Woolston Rovers RLFC on our top of the range pitches.

BOWLS

Bowls or lawn bowls is a medieval sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball. Monks Sports and Social Club bowling green is home to both the Warrington and District Bowls teams, catering for both men, women and mixed pairs. Come down and try your hand!

SNOOKER

Snooker is a traditional game of precision and focus, the objective being to pot all the balls in correct succession. Our resident snooker team has a Thursday evening league – get in touch for more details.
